Jennifer Lopez flashes washboard abs as she channels her Jenny from the Block era

Jennifer Lopez showed off her washboard abs as she channeled her Jenny from the Block era in a stylish ensemble during an outing in New York City on Monday.  

The On The Floor songstress, 54 – whose marriage to Ben Affleck as been ‘over for months’ amid mounting divorce rumors – strolled along a sidewalk during a solo excursion in the bustling city. 

She flaunted her toned figure in a white cropped top that had, ‘JLO Be My Mama’ printed in black lettering on the front. 

Lopez additionally slipped into a pair of low-waisted, baggy denim jeans as well as comfy, white sneakers that were secured with laces. 

The Atlas actress layered the outfit with a fuzzy, pink sweater that added a pop of color to the overall look. 

Her locks were parted to the side, and were swept back into a simple up do, allowing loose strands to border the right side of her face. 

Jennifer accessorized the weekday ensemble with a pair of large, hooped earrings as well as fashionable black shades. 

The performer easily carried a small purse in her left hand to hold a few items she needed, and flashed a glimpse of her wedding ring. 

Lopez seemingly stepped out of a sleek, black SUV and headed towards her destination as she spent time in the Big Apple. 

The I’m Real singer and husband, Ben Affleck, have been embroiled in split rumors and are reportedly living separately. 

Most recently, a source told Page Six on Tuesday that their marriage has been ‘over for months’ and added the pair have ‘been apart since March.’

While the two are reported to be ‘on the edge of divorce,’ the Good Will Hunting actor is still ‘very protective of Jennifer.’ 

However, Affleck is reportedly staying at a $100k-a-month rental in Brentwood, while Lopez is residing at their $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills. 

Last month in June, the lavish home was listed on the market for $65 million – and on Monday, Page Six claimed that the two stars have begun ‘selling off art work’ from inside the mansion.  

Over the weekend on Sunday, Ben was seen visiting his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner’s, home – which is located near his Brentwood rental. 

Affleck and Garner were previously married from 2005 until their divorce was finalized in 2018.

The pair also welcomed three children during the course of their marriage: Violet, 18, Finn, 15 (formerly known as Seraphina), and also Samuel, 12.

Insiders informed DailyMail.com on Tuesday that the 13 Going On 30 actress has been acting as a ‘marriage counselor’ to both Ben and Jennifer – but is now ready to step away from the ‘circus.’

‘Jen eventually got to a place where she was like, “Sorry, figure this out yourself.” It was beginning to become too painful for her because it was bringing back so many memories of their divorce.’ 

The source added, ‘Throughout their marriage there were times when Jen felt like she was second to JLo even though there was no communication between her and Ben for years.’

‘She was surprised at how public he became when they reunited because he was always a man who wanted to be out of the spotlight when they were married.’

‘Jen opened up her home and her life to JLo because she had moved on from the past. She cares about JLo and cares about their kids and how it will affect all of them,’ the insider continued. 

‘But in the end, it is not Jen’s circus, not Jen’s monkeys and she is done playing marriage counselor to her ex-husband and his wife.’

Earlier last week, a source told People that the actor has ‘moved his things out’ of their lavish marital home.

‘Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He’s been there for about two months now,’ the insider informed the outlet.

‘He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.’

Lopez recently returned to the United States after whisking herself away for a solo trip to Italy.

Last week, she also made an appearance during Paris Fashion Week at the Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024-2025 runway show.

And on Saturday, Lopez was seen grabbing lunch with her child Emme, 16, in Beverly Hills – but was not accompanied by Affleck despite her return to California.

Affleck and Lopez appear to still be in contact and have business ties: Lopez is set to star in two upcoming movies for Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company. Those films are Unstoppable and Kiss Of The Spider Woman.

This comes after a source also told DailyMail.com that Jennifer is ‘over’ trying to make her marriage with Ben work.

Amid rumors about the status of the couple’s marriage, an industry insider has now claimed that the pop star has reached her wit’s end and no longer feels that she can do any ‘more’ to save the relationship.

‘Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it’s not getting any better, it’s worse,’ a music industry source told DailyMail.com.

The insider add that the main reason J.Lo, left her husband was because he was always ‘grumpy and negative’ like Oscar The Grouch from Sesame Street.

Jennifer is sad about the end of her nuptials but ‘is trying to make the best of it by working out, spending time with her twins Max and Emme and making new plans for 2025,’ they went on.

One of those new plans is resuming her This Is Me… Live tour for the summer of 2025 when she turns 56. She canceled the 2024 tour that was scheduled to kick off in July in order to ‘recollect herself.’ 

Lopez is also said to be ‘shocked’ by the bad press she has been getting, which she believes is not fair. ‘If people could see what she has really gone through they would be easier on her.’

‘Ben is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer. I think the world saw that in photos like when they were at the Grammys last year; he wouldn’t smile. If they saw how it really was, they would not attack her,’ said the friend of Jennifer.

‘He chain smokes and cusses and seems irritated a lot of the time. Great director and actor, but not a lot of laughs with him, you know?’ said the source. ‘He is a wonderful father though.’

And as far as how Jennifer and Ben are getting along these days, the source said they are being ‘cordial’ with each other.

Meanwhile, Lopez cleared her schedule this summer to give herself some downtime to re-examine her life.

Jennifer has also recently struck a new deal with Netflix via her company Nuyorican to adapt novel Happy Place by Emily Henry.
