David, 39, took straight to the airwaves, telling US radio DJ Howard Stern the intimate details of their 11-year marriage, including how he had slept with two other women since their split and that he and his wife had not had sex in four months.
But despite her husband’s revelations, Courteney says the pair are not getting divorced.
The Cougar Town actress, who has a six-year-old daughter Coco with David, admits that they had “grown apart” but says: “I don’t know what will happen but this is not like we’re getting divorced.”
“This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.”
And she adds that she was not surprised by David’s on-air revelations. “[David] is a kook. It’s not shocking and Howard Stern, he loves him and I’m a fan of Howard Stern.
“David is an entertainer and I’m sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories.”
She also admits that she has turned to unlucky-in-love best pal Jennifer Aniston, who had “been amazing”.
